Ann Bremner, M.A.T., M.Ed
Ann earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Trinity University, a Masters in Educational Leadership with a Math Specialist endorsement from George Mason University, and completed coursework for a special education general curriculum add-on endorsement from University of Virginia. She is licensed in the state of Virginia, and she holds a Math Specialist certification from the state of Virginia.
Ann has over 30 years of experience working with students in Pre-K through 8th grade. She has been a math specialist and coach for 14 of these years. Having taught in MD, DC and VA public and private schools, Ann is passionate about mathematics in education and researching different methods of making mathematics accessible to all students. She is trained in Math Recovery, Do the Math Intervention Program and ASDEC Multi-sensory Math program.
A lifelong learner, Ann consistently attends and delivers professional development to understand and apply current research and best practices in mathematics instruction. She believes everyone has the ability to achieve success with the appropriate supports and skills in place. She currently is Director of Lower School Mathematics at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, VA supporting the instruction and learning of engaging mathematics for students in grades JK-5 and sharing her love of mathematics.
